 Heart families and friends:
Each month that we have a meeting, we thought it would be neat to do a special donation "theme." What's it for? Well, as some of you may know, we pass out "goody bags" to families while they are in the hospital. We try to reach every new family but, because Dr. M performs 4-8 surgeries per week and we can have up to 17 babies/kiddos in the unit and overflow (sometimes more), it's hard to keep up with demand. We're trying :-). We have so many families whose kiddos are "CHSU Graduates" who ask us what they can do to help. This is one way. By no means are we making this a mandatory thing. It is totally and completely 100% optional :-) We are going to rotate each monthly meeting's donation request. Our other project is the family snack cabinet. This is a new program that we implemented about 6 weeks ago. In that time, we have served approximately 90 patient families! Below, please check out the items you may be on the lookout for as you grocery shop or pick up supplies for your kids and family:
*** Please bring items for the goody bags to our next meeting on November 15th (Classrooms A&B near the caterpillar & "heart art" in the new children's tower- 1st floor)***
